CONFERENCE DEDICATED TO TELEVISION AND RADIO DAY

The State Institution “Academy of Mass Media of Tajikistan,” in accordance with its event plan dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Day of Television, Radio, and Communications Sectors, organized a scientific-practical conference titled “State Independence and the Development of Television and Radio”.

The conference was held in the hall on the third floor of the State Institution “National Library” of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan with the participation of a wide range of industry professionals, heads of television and radio networks, veterans, government officials, and journalism professors.

The event was opened by the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Television and Radio under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Zohir Olimzoda, who first drew the audience’s attention to a video presentation highlighting the effective activities of television and radio networks during the years of the country’s independence.

During the conference, presentations were delivered by Academician Abdujabbor Rahmonzoda, Doctor of Political Sciences Muhammad Abdurahmon, Director of the Academy of Mass Media Haqnazar Karimzoda, Chairman of the Union of Journalists of Tajikistan Zinatullo Ismoilzoda, Professor Sharif Mulloev, Professor Doniyor Sanginzoda, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism at Tajik National University Bakhtiyor Hoshimzoda, Director of Radio Tajikistan Obidjon Saidzoda, and Associate Professor of the Faculty of Journalism at Tajik National University Sangin Gulov. The speakers discussed the achievements and existing challenges of the sector.

Veterans of the field, Abdumajid Hakimzoda and Hasanjon Khalilov, also shared memorable recollections from their past professional activities, compared past and present developments in the industry, and highly praised the organization of the conference.

Representatives of the Communications Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan also delivered a comprehensive presentation on the communications sector and, on behalf of the agency’s leadership, congratulated the attendees on Television, Radio, and Communications Day.
